Electricity consumers and general public have been informed that power supply will remain suspended in Prothrapur, Pathergudda, Bhatubasthi and New Pahargaon on March 30 from 0730 hrs to 1400 hrs in connection with the urgent breakdown maintenance of the high tension line at Prothrapur.

Kuldeep Rai Sharma filed his nominations for 2024 Lok Sabha Elections in Office of the Returning Officer, A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency (District Office, South Andaman).

Thousands of supporters, including party workers and Senior Congress leaders, today rallied behind Shri. Kuldeep Rai Sharma as he made his way to file his nomination papers this afternoon.

Port Blair, March 27: As many as 10 nominations were filed by the candidates on the last day of the filing of nominations for the lone Lok Sabha seat of A&N Islands Parliamentary Constituency. The Office of the Returning Officer, A & N Islands Parliamentary Constituency (District Office, South Andaman) received 10 nomination papers today.

Research Institute of AYUSH Ministry sought help from Dr. Ajai

Dr. Kangarajan, Director-in-Charge of Siddha Regional Research Institute, a research institute of the Ministry of AYUSH, located in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala, wrote a letter stating that his institute is studying the standardization of pearl medicine for the treatment of various diseases, for which they need special pearls made by renown scientist Dr. Ajai Kumar Sonkar.

He told that while trying to supply pearls for research, it was found that the pearl market of India is flooded with freshwater pearls from China. Dr. Kangarajan told that discussions with all the pioneers of this field indicated that these special pearls for treatment can only be obtained from Dr. Ajai. However, for the manufacture of these special pearls, a special and controlled environment of the laboratory is required, the production cost of which is many times more than normal.

American Diplomats Advocate for Women in Security & Foreign Policy

Chennai, March 27: American Diplomats from U.S. Consulate General Chennai opened the first Women in Security (WiS) networking forum conducted by the U.S. Department of State’s Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) Chennai Chapter with host Cognizant Corporate Security in Chennai on March 22.  OSAC is a public-private partnership between the U.S. Department of State’s Diplomatic Security Service (DSS) and private sector security professionals to promote security cooperation, trainings, consultations, events, alerts, and analysis.  To effectuate, OSAC fosters a global consortium of diplomatic and corporate security professionals – operating abroad – who exchange timely information and security best practices to mitigate risks to U.S. interests worldwide.
